Should I be upset with this situation? My boyfriend is a big flirt. He is a very charming, social guy. He will flirt with bartenders, waitresses, friends, and just women in general right in front of me. He is never rude or overtly sexual – he just flirts in a very joking way.
He told me that althought he is a big flirt, he just sees it as a way for people to stroke their egos, and assures me that I am the only one for him and that he never takes it past the point of innocent teasing. When we are out together, he will joke around, but he still makes sure to give me kisses and affection.
He also tells me that it is okay for me to talk to people too, as he knows he is the one I am going home with.
I feel like people are laughing at me because my boyfriend is hitting on other girls.
Okay, this is all cool and great, but why do I sometimes feel as if I am less than adequate? Flirting is cool, but sometimes I feel like people are laughing at me because my boyfriend is hitting on other girls. Maybe it’s all in my head. He is wonderful to me and has never done anything to make me doubt my trust in him.
